The Info

Hey, I'm Jess! I was born & raised in Missoula, Montana, and have never left.  I love it here, even though the winters can be long.  I almost moved once & it laid heavy on my heart.  I'm so blessed to live in this beautiful place.  My family has a horse ranch just a bit outside of town.  We spend a lot of time out there helping & enjoying the land.  We all are horse enthusiast.

My husband is the pastor of our church.  He's been there 9 years & started out as the youth pastor.  After the untimely death of our senior pastor at the time my husband became the lead pastor.  I'm so proud of him & blessed to be his wife.
I have four youngin's.  Twin girls, a boy, and then my baby girl.  They were all born within five years of each other.  Needless to say, I stay busy.  I love being a mom & am so appreciative that I get to stay home to enjoy every minute of their precious "little" years.

I run my own small wedding venue business on my family's ranch and a small photography business.  Photography has been my hobby since high school.  I took some photo classes in college, but that was before the age of digital cameras.  Put me in a dark room & I'm golden, yep, I can roll actual film & develop it.  Unfortunately these skills have become  little obsolete & I have enjoyed teaching myself the digital camera.  I love photographing weddings, portraits, special events... and my children.

I have a college degree in Art Education.  I taught for a short bit, then worked at our church, & then I had babies.  A lot of babies.  So I stay home to raise them, the best job in the world.  But I continue to create art.  Whether it be painting, cooking, decorating, cutting my son's hair, blogging, or taking pictures I love creating!  As my family grew I had to become more fond of cooking.  I had always cooked from a young age for my family & ranch workers that got suckered into working on our place for a summer.  But I had never really enjoyed cooking.  I was blessed to have a mother whose hobby is cooking, so I had a good knowledge base.  Int the last few years I have really fallen in love with cooking.  I would say it is my major creative outlet these days.
Easter Deviled Eggs
This blog started because I lived out on our ranch for a year while we were looking for a house to buy in town.  It was a long winter & I had very little social interaction with humans over the age of six.  So I started this blog as a way to communicate with my friends & share ideas.  I love blogging now & the entire creative process of it... I need to make art somehow!
So that's me in a nutshell.  I hope you enjoy this happy little nest and are inspired to create & love life.
